I service Rolla, Ft. Leonard Wood, Waynesville, St. Robert, Salem, St. James, Cuba, Licking, Edgar Springs, Vichy, Vienna, and surrounding communities.  Of course I am willing to travel as far as you may require but additional time and miles cost extra the farther I go.  If you prefer to bring me your unit for repair in or near Rolla, please give me a call and setup an appointment as this is the most economical way to have your equipment serviced.

Rates (as of Jan 1st, 2019)

Basic Services (Units are dropped off and picked up by the customer after work is completed):
This service is best in situation where time is not critical and the customer can live without the equipment for a week or so.  Turnaround times are typically 2-3 days if not overnight on many jobs requiring cleanup, optimization, and reinstalls of operating systems such as Windows.  Jobs where specialized parts need to be ordered generally take around one week to turn around when the basic/economy shipping services are used.  Rush shipping of components is available at additional cost.  In certain special cases, components must be ordered from Asia which can take up to one month.  I do not guarantee these turnaround times as onsite work takes priority.

Note that certain pieces of equipment, commonly Apply and Sony products, use more expensive components and are more labor intensive to diagnose and repair.  For example, most laptops cost more to repair than most desktops and all-in-one PCs typically cost more than either of those.  I have included a list of diagnostic charges for various categories of equipment below.  Please note that these charges do not include the re-assembly of units that are not to be repaired if disassembly is required to diagnose the unit.  Diagnostic charges are non-refundable but will apply to the total repair of the unit as long as it is picked up within one week (7 days) of the repair.

Diagnostic Charges (required upfront at time of pickup):

Charge (Diagnosis only - applies to final repair cost - please note that additional diagnosis may be billed at end of service)

-Standard Desktop PC ($50)

-Slimline Desktop PC ($50)
-All-in-one PCs including iMacs ($100)
*Exceptions apply to units where casing is welded/melted together or screen is glued into place

-PC Laptops including all brands ($50)
-Apple Laptops such as Macbooks/Macbook Pros ($100)

-Gaming Consoles such as XBOX, Playstation, and WII ($175)

-Gaming laptops of any kind ($175)
-Smart phones and tablets such as iPhone/iPad, Galaxy, and other devices ($100)
*Note that screen is often destroyed in order to access internal components and will require replacement to re-assemble phone.

-Televisions/TVs ($75 up to 50 inch +$5 for each 5 inch increment larger than $50 inches/$100 +$10 for each 5 inch increment larger than 50 inches)
*Example: Diagnostic charges for a 55 inch TV would be ($80 to not have it re-assembled/$110 to have it re-assembled)

-Custom Equipment - Diagnostic charge will be determined at the time an appointment is made.
 

Onsite Services:

These services are intended for situations where the end user is uncomfortable disconnecting and reconnecting their equipment. Diagnostic fees are not charged for these jobs as flat rates but are included in the service charges and hourly rates listed in the three service tiers below.  These rates DO NOT include additional parts or software that may be required to complete the job.  Appropriate situations to schedule onsite service printer and network setups, computer lessons, and service of multiple devices.  It is very common for certain tasks such as virus removals, software installs and updates, operating system installs and updates, data backup and restore, as well as virus scans and removals to involve considerable wait times.  Since I charge by the hour I am onsite and not by the device, your money is best spent when there are multiple devices present to be serviced.  This way I can move between devices while I am waiting for another device to complete a task.  Other efficient uses of onsite services includes emergencies where a critical failure has disabled your ability to conduct business, your computer has been hijacked by hackers, or you computer security has otherwise been compromised and a quick response time is critical.

Onsite services are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.  Response times for appointments within the standard onsite services tier typically range from same day to one week.  I am always willing to schedule appointments outside of normal business hours if I am backed up.  Appointments during the evening and late night/emergency tiers are typically relatively open.

Standard Onsite Services (8AM-5PM on weekdays):
Standard onsite service has a service charge of $95 (winthin Rolla city limits*) with an hourly rate of $95 per hour.  Round trip drive time is billed as service time at the standard hourly rate for the service tier your job falls within.  Round trip time is calculated by multiplying the time taken to arrive onsite by two.  *Travel billing time starts whenever I leave the Rolla city limits or enter I-44, whichever comes first.  Any portion of Rolla east of McCutcheon Dr. including the Loves/Hypoint area is exempted from the in town rates and travel time will be billed.

Evening Onsite Services (5PM-10PM on weekdays, 8AM-6PM on weekends):
Standard onsite service has a service charge of $135 with an hourly rate of $135 per hour.  Round trip drive time is billed as service time at the standard hourly rate for the service tier your job falls within.  Round trip time is calculated by multiplying the time taken to arrive onsite by two.

Late Night/Emergency Onsite Services (10PM and later on weekdays/6PM and later on weekends):

Standard onsite service has a service charge of $225 with an hourly rate of $225 per hour.  Round trip drive time is billed as service time at the standard hourly rate for the service tier your job falls within.  Round trip time is calculated by multiplying the time taken to arrive onsite by two.  This tier is only intended to be used in situations where emergency service is required.

Split Tier Services (Jobs that span two or more pricing tiers):

A job will be charged at the hourly rate of the two tiers it falls within.  The service call charge and drive time will be averaged between tiers.  Take a job that starts at 4PM, ends at 6PM, and has a 1 hour round trip travel time for example.  The first hour of this job will be charged at $95 per hour and the second at $135.  The service call will be the average of the two at $115 and the drive time will be averaged at $115 per hour as well.  This service would cost a total of $460.
